Tis The Season for Over Eating

That dreaded season of get together over dinner and drinks is here once again.

Mine officially started last weekend. Kick off at Mandarin Buffet (cant stop eating crabs). Proud to say I develop skills in buffet dinner over a period of time. I end up satisfied but not stuffed as most people experienced.

Saturday, Scott brought as to Generation Sushi at Bloor and Spadina. Holy! The cheapest Bento Box I ever had. I have to check my order twice if I got the right one.

Then Madison Pub. The place is huge and different level. What a maze of a place!!! Lots of students though (U of T). Feels like a cougar suddenly. Lol.

Sunday is a famjam as it is my nephews 17th bday. And let's not even talk about food in my famjam.

Enjoy the season and happy eating and drinking everyone!

Trick or Treat

Had a great time with little monsters tonight who are endlessly hitting our door bell.

Witnessed lots of sweet moments between parents and their cute little ones. Especially the toddlers.

And the trolls! Oh the trolls... Yea some are carrying grocery bags for goodies. We should actually have age limits for trick and treaters. Haha!

The Stockyards, Good Neighbour?

Home owners and residence of St. Clair & Keele neighborhood met last Sunday to discuss their complain against the builder and contractor of the upcoming mall at the corner street.

Families complained about too much noise and heavy earthquake like tremors that shook their houses even early morning on weekend. Falling frames, spilled coffees, and shaking doors are common effects of this string tremors.

The new urban mall is set to open fall of 2013.

Happy Halloween

Another candy giving day of the year. This guy was having fun with his costume when he candidly posed for the camera at the subway.

Riverdale Farm

It was Cabbage town festival yesterday and my first time to go. My friend Adam, his friend Yasiyo walked around the area including Rivedale farm.

There's been a plan by the city government to close the farm/park for budget reasons.

Please help the petition by logging online and signing the petition. Meanwhile enjoy the photos...

Spoon & Fork

Heard a lot about this new sit in fine dining style of buffet. And my friend was right. Good food. A bit pricey compare to Mandarin Buffet but the classy feel and the tendency of pigging out is not there.

We ordered sushi and some regular Thai dishes. The stand out for me are the appetizers. Love the curry pumpkin soup. Just the right spiciness. I over indulged with the seaweed and mango salad as these are my favorites.

I would probably come here again for some special occasions. Be ready to shell out $35 per person and that includes your drinks. I had my favorite cranberry juice.

Another Year... So Soon

Almost got a heart attack last night when my roomies and family gave me a surprise bday dinner.

Been really busy for the past few days because of an upcoming backpacking trip to eastern Europe.

Awesome cake made by my roomie! Thanks again guys! Hopefully I'll be another year wiser!

Earls Toronto

Had a first birthday treat from a few friends last night.

First time at Earls, apparently they have branches all over north America.

Would have been great if we were able to get a patio table as the weather was perfect.

Was intrigued by their entrance. But the food was so-so. Guess I was just too tired from work that my steak was just another ordinary steak. Could have asked for medium rare.

Shabu Shabu Hotpot

Friday night and my niece called to have dinner outside. Decided to go to a shabu shabu hot pot across Pacific Mall.

My niece and her bf.

Good place but they only accept cash.
