Sasha Love Silverware

i saw the olympics womens figure skating finals yesterday... and here's what i thought about the competition:

sasha cohen - favorite to get the gold. my personal favorite. but i know she's fucked up when i saw her fell during the warm up that includes slutskaya of russia, arakawa and suguri of japan. that warm up was demorilizing for her, enough to miss the first two jumps she tried in the free skate. she got the SILVER but i thought that performace did not deserve a medal. nevertheless she will forever be remember as a fine skater who collects silver in international competition.

shizuka arakawa - she has this stoic face typical to an asian athlete. never break a smile throughout her performance. her technical abilities was superb and i know that performace is a medal performance. a hands down choice. deserving to get the GOLD. saving grace for japan.

fumie suguri - more emotional performace. good jumps and clean skating. shes currently japan's national champion. she looked so disappointed to see her score...and so am i. she was 4TH but i thought she deserve a silver...

irina slutskaya - a veteran skater from russia. confident skater... not as graceful as cohen but better technical abilities in my opinion. she's just about to get that gold until her butt smacked in the ice on the last minute of her performace. BRONZE
