Chopper Crashes Onto House

The helicopter with body number RP-C 1495/Augusta was about to land on an open field near the Platon Elementary School when one of its engines malfunctioned around 3:15 p.m. The aircraft crash-landed on a house instead.



A helicopter crashed in a residential area in San Pablo City in Laguna after developing engine trouble Saturday afternoon. No one was hurt among the helicopter's six passengers.

Floro was accompanied during the private trip by flight engineer Vincent Velasco, who was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor wounds.Police officials led by Laguna police director Sr. Supt. Felipe Rojas, and investigators from the Air Transportation Office were investigating the cause of the incident.



Floro, who was unhurt, told People’s Tonight that he planned to land the chopper at the open field of a nearby school when one of the engines conked out.
