Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there and most especially to my mom!
Mom, thanks for your important lessons in life. For being a good example of how one can be independent, leaving home at the age of 20 and move to a bigger city was a big task. You never hold me back but instead you supported me all the way. For showing me how to handle money. Hehe! I always admire how you make both ends meet no matter how much you have in your pocket. That it doesn't matter even if we dont get to buy new clothes and toys as much as we want as long as there's always food in the house. For showing us how to be friendly and nice to everyone and do whatever we can in helping others. For reminding me that relationship is more important than material things...For your sense of humor despite having a tough time. The importance of education. For showing me how to practice the virtue of patience and most of all forgiveness.
Happy Mother's Day too to my Aunt, Tiyay Chichay! Thanks for spoiling me when i was young. Haha! For not minding having to squabble with my mom as long as I get what I want. Not to mention reprimanding my oder bro coz its always his fault and not mine. Haha!
And to my landlady in Makati, Mama Idad. For being my 2nd mother in Manila. Ma, I miss your "Nilaga" every Sunday, fried tilapia, and all your other recipes. Its been 6 years, hopefully I will see you when I have the chance to visit Manila.

Sana Maulit Muli
i just finished watching the finale of 'sana maulit muli'. that means no more bokbok and poknat. i admit its kinda jologs and call me baduy but i had a great time watching the series especially during the past cold and snowy nights of winter.
Lost And Found

i should have blog about this sooner.... i just wanna thank to whoever honest torontonian who found my mobile phone and return it.
i was having coffee with friends at starbucks at church and wellesley when i left my phone on the table. heading to young street i realized i dont have my cp. twas very funny coz i gave my bag and jacket to my friend, yelled 'ring my phone and dont stop calling!'.... then i did a hundred meter dash! got there, then man sitting on the table told me 2 guys picked up the phone... then i went downstairs feeling hopeless... i asked the barista if someone returned a cp... bingo! i got my baby back!
whoever you are.. thanks a bunch! im glad honesty still counts. i mean you could have easily sell an open line SE W810i, but you prefer to do one good deed!
Rainy days are mondays

Hippy Easter!

Black Saturday
after feeling guilty of going to a bar last night, i went to attend an easter vigil mass at the church near my place. the church is half empty, i guess most catholics prefer to attend easter mass on sunday rather than attending the anticipated vigil mass. besides, its -5 C outside and it makes one feel to just stay home and chill.
it was a solemn vigil. the celebration started with lighting of candles, then the church was glowing with candle light for about 30 minutes. i was a bit sleepy when we put off the light. imagine, almost an hour of darkness inside the church. hehe! but it was a good feeling though. i've been missing a lot of easter mass for the last few years, not to mention mass for christmas. how evil can i get....
happy easter to whoever read this blog! how did you celebrate easter?

Holy Weekend

i cant believe were getting a snowy holy weekend. im not complaining though coz we dont really have a travel plan so it doesnt matter. just wondering what's gonna happen to the easter egg hunt this sunday. LOL.
holy week here in toronto is a far cry compare to the observance we do back home. here, its just another excuse of canadians to have another long weekend, go somewhere or just stay home to sleep or doing chores.
i didnt plan anything this week, i didnt even go out last night. it was a cold night anyways. after work i went to LCBO get our official family wine (zifandel, wild vines). i had a bit of a drama at the pharmacy when system rejected my health insurance info. manulife insurance sucks! hehe! its not that $15 of thyroid drug is a big thing. im just lazy to mail this claim ya know!
have a holy weekend guys! and remember...no meat today, so abstain!

Zen Shiatsu @ Urban Monk
guys, just in case you're thinking of relaxing one day and badly needs that very relaxing shiatsu massage. my friend josh sent me an email regarding his soon to be launched "Urban Monk Zen Shiatsu Studio" located in Toronto, Canada.
Please feel free to leave a message here whoever is interested. I will be more than willing to give more info...
Dear Community,
Happy 2007! I hope 2007 will prove to be filled with abundance and happiness for all of you.
As you may know, I am celebrating the completion of my training last year as a Zen Shiatsu Practitioner and going into 2007 launching The Urban Monk Zen Shiatsu Studio.
I've taken this training and started this practice out of my passion for alternative and preventative health practices. I really believe that with some care, we can avoid painful and debiliating diseases and live in ease. I believe especially in Zen Shiatsu because it is so direct in dealing with the core issues as well as alleviating the symptoms. If you're curious, I've included an article about Shiatsu and a list of things it is esspecially good at helping with.
My practice has been growing, and I've been learning loads. I treat clients in my home. I feel the non-clinical feel is prefered by many. I also branched out and started working with businesses. Toward the end of the day, I go and give treatments to workers. Zen Shiatsu is a great way to dispell stress and the physical tension it creates.
Word of mouth is the lifeblood of my practice, so I'm asking that if you know anybody who could benefit, please mention me and Shiatsu. I have business cards if you can use them. I'm working on getting a website.
Thank you so much for any help. It means a lot to me!
Sincerely,
Josh

The Purpose Driven Life
Don't date because you are desperate.
Don't marry because you are miserable.
Don't have kids because you think your genes are superior.
Don't philander because you think you are irresistible.
Don't associate with people you can't trust.
Don't cheat. Don't lie. Don't pretend.
Don't dictate because you are smarter.
Don't demand because you are stronger.
Don't sleep around because you think you are old enough & know better.
Don't hurt your kids because loving them is harder.
Don't sell yourself, your family, or your ideals.
Don't stagnate!
Don't regress.
Don't live in the past. Time can't bring anything or anyone back.
Don't put your life on hold for possibly Mr. Right.
Don't throw your life away on absolutely Mr. Wrong because your biological clock is ticking.
Learn a new skill.
Find a new friend.
Start a new career.
Sometimes, there is no race to be won, only a price to be paid for some of life's more hasty decisions.
To terminate your loneliness, reach out to the homeless.
To feed your nurturing instincts, care for the needy.
To fulfill your parenting fantasies, get a puppy.
Don't bring another life into this world for all the wrong reasons.
To make yourself happy, pursue your passions & be the best of what you can be.
Simplify your life. Take away the clutter.
Get rid of destructive elements: abusive friends, nasty habits, and dangerous liaisons.
Don't abandon your responsibilities but don't overdose on duty.
Don't live life recklessly without thought and feeling for your family.
Be true to yourself.
Don't commit when you are not ready.
Don't keep others waiting needlessly.
Go on that trip. Don't postpone it.
Say those words. Don't let the moment pass.
Do what you have to, even at society's scorn.
Write poetry.
Love Deeply.
Walk barefoot.
Dance with wild abandon.
Cry at the movies.
Take care of yourself. Don't wait for someone to take care of you.
You light up your life.
You drive yourself to your destination.
No one completes you - except YOU.
It isn't true that life does not get easier with age.
It only gets more challenging.
Don't be afraid. Don't lose your capacity to love.
Pursue your passions.
Live your dreams.
Don't lose faith in God.
Don't grow old. Just grow YOU!
When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back.
Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give to someone is your time.
